A woman has pleaded not guilty to killing a schoolboy during an August party at her home in Sydney after an alleged dispute over a pair of headphones.
Kayla Dawson, 19, chose to remain in her jail cell today when an email was read before Blacktown Local Court, confirming her plea of not guilty to murder.
Outside court, more than 20 protesters gathered peacefully holding placards with photos of Jason Galleghan, who was bashed to death in Doonside.
He died from severe head injuries in hospital.
