A year into the COVID-19 pandemic, Harris Park was having its heyday.
Three streets of the Western Sydney suburb had just been renamed Little India by Parramatta Council on June 15 in a trial to boost local tourism.
Footpaths on Wigram, Marion and Station Streets were bustling with customers waiting for Indian street food as the smell of garam masala carried through the air.
